Buffalo, NY  October 16, 2008 - Ace Energy is working with New York City schools seeking to reduce their carbon footprint and cut energy costs.  Schools throughout the city have been turning to Ace Energy for lighting upgrades aimed to reduce overhead costs, electrical consumption, and carbon emissions.

The Allen-Stevenson School recently completed an energy efficient lighting upgrade of its gymnasium and auditorium.  By replacing obsolete metal halide fixtures with new energy saving T-8 fluorescent high bay fixtures the school will realize electrical savings of over $3,500 a year, reduce energy consumption in these areas by 64 percent, and provide improved lighting conditions for students.

Ace Energy also incorporated motion sensor and photocell technology into the new lighting design making the school’s mission to maximize energy savings as easy as possible.  The automated system will shut lights off when the gymnasium is unoccupied, and reduce light levels as sufficient daylight is detected to adequately light the facility.

Through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), schools are getting paid to “go green” by completing such projects as energy efficient lighting upgrades.  Ace Energy worked with NYSERDA on Allen-Stevenson’s behalf to obtain rebates that substantially reduced the overall cost of the project.

“We’re ecstatic to see schools taking advantage of the NYSERDA incentives,” said Steve Lynch, CEO of Ace Energy.  “Not only does it set a strong example of fiscal and environmental responsibility, but it pays to be proactive, and that means more money for these schools to put towards academic initiatives.”

The Town School, Lycée Français de New York, Brooklyn Friends, the Dalton School, the Buckley School, Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, and Pratt University have also taken advantage of lighting upgrades through Ace Energy.  These schools are estimated to save over $100,000 a year in combined operational costs and have reduced energy consumption on average by 56 percent.  Ace Energy was able to obtain nearly $60,000 in NYSERDA rebates for these schools.

“With schools teaching environmental awareness and ‘go green’ measures every day, a lighting upgrade is the perfect way to further educate students and provide them with results they can see, like better lighting,” said Martin Fanaro, director of operations for Ace Energy.  “We are proud to be a part of educating new generations of energy conscious students.”

Buffalo, NY November 18, 2008 - The New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA) named Ace Energy, Inc. the winner of the New York
Energy $mart Small Commercial Lighting Program (SCLP) Third Quarter 2008
Installation Competition for most projects completed, as well as the winner of the most
square footage completed for the quarter.

This is the third consecutive year Ace Energy has been honored by NYSERDA as an
industry leader in energy-efficient lighting solutions.

“We’re proud to have developed a great working relationship with NYSERDA over the
years”, said Martin Fanaro, director of engineering at Ace Energy. “NYSERDA has really
helped increase exposure for energy efficiency measures, and with record high rebates
available, energy-efficient lighting solutions are more attractive than ever.”

Ace Energy received an award of $1,000 for accomplishing 16 lighting projects and an
additional $1,000 award for completing the greatest square footage for the quarter. The
energy-efficient lighting upgrades were primarily conducted at schools and
manufacturing facilities to cut overhead costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and improve
light levels.

“NYSERDA is rewarding businesses for making sound economic and environmental
decisions”, said Stephen Smith, field operations manager for Ace Energy. “Today it
seems that everyone is looking for ways to reduce operating costs. People are attracted
to lighting solutions because they offer immediate results with short payback periods.”

Martin Fanaro accepted the award from NYSERDA representative, Kenneth Latal, at a
meeting held at Ace Energy’s Buffalo, NY headquarters earlier this month.
